Our owner, Jim Torvinen is an entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience building and operating successful businesses. In 2025, he purchased Forest City Garage Doors and rebranded the company as Elevated Entry, reflecting his commitment to raising standards in quality, service, and reliability within the garage door industry.
Before entering the door business, Jim owned and operated a truck-based business for over two decades, where he developed a strong reputation for hard work, customer service, and operational excellence. That hands-on experience continues to shape his leadership approach at Elevated Entry.
A proud grandfather of two, Jim values family as much as he values craftsmanship and trust in business. Today, he’s affectionately known as “The Door Keeper,” a nod to both his industry expertise and his dedication to protecting and improving the entrances to homes throughout the community.
